Today's post on my own behalf:
Yes, we know quite a few acryonms. Acronyms make our everyday life easier - that's why we also use them for the product names of our print media.
WBL, LUVESS, SM,... How are our product names composed?
We developed our product name system with the aim of conveying as much information about the print media as possible in the name.
You will find the following information in our product names:
- Most important property or purpose
- grammage
- base substrate
- suitable ink systems
- gloss level
- texture of the surface
When labeling the ink systems, we use the following abbreviations, for example:
- L = latex inks
- UV = UV-curable inks
- IT = EcoSolvent inks
- S = Solvent inks
- WB = Water-based inks
"LUVESS" stands for a print medium that can be printed with latex, UV-curing, eco-solvent and solvent inks.
